Join Henderson Castle Foundation in Making a Difference

All activities of the Henderson Castle Foundation are guided by nationally recognized

historic preservation standards and best practices. The Foundation supports the

preservation and restoration of the Castle’s historic structure and features, long-term

planning for sustainability, educational programming and interpretation, historical

research, and public access initiatives that allow the community to experience and learn

from the Castle.

The Henderson Castle Foundation preserves, protects, and stewards Henderson Castle and the Upjohn House as accessible architectural, cultural, and educational resources for public appreciation, interpretation, research, and learning for generations to come. Through Beacon Family Kitchen and other community-informed programs, the Foundation advances racial, social, and economic equity in Kalamazoo County by strengthening vibrant neighborhoods, expanding access to nutritious food and education, creating workforce pathways, and nurturing health, safety, belonging, and social connection and tolerance.
