Henderson Castle is owned and stewarded by the Henderson Castle Foundation, a 501(c)(3)

public charity. To support preservation and public access, the Foundation leases the Castle

for hospitality operations to AJFFM LLC, which operates the property, employs all staff, and

pays monthly rent to the Foundation. Rental income supports historic preservation,

maintenance, and the Foundation’s charitable mission. Financial information is disclosed

annually through IRS Form 990.   The Henderson Castle Foundation is committed to transparency, accountability, and

responsible stewardship of charitable resources. Financial integrity is central to

maintaining public trust and fulfilling the Foundation’s preservation mission.

The Foundation files an annual IRS Form 990, which provides a detailed summary of its finances, governance, and activities. Copies of the Foundation’s most recent Forms 990 and its IRS determination letter are available for public inspection on this website or upon

request.

Grant funds and restricted donations are tracked separately and used solely for the purposes specified by donors and grantors. The Foundation complies with all reporting, documentation, and accountability requirements associated with public and private grants, ensuring that funds are used exclusively for charitable preservation and educational purposes.
